Extension Announcement: More Time to Submit Your Paper !!!

We hope this email finds you well.

I am Tran Thi Thanh Van, Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology at the University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 1st International Conference on Advanced and Multifunctional Materials (ICAMM’24) and Guest Editor of the Special Issue of Ceramics International, we are pleased to inform you that the deadline for paper submission to our journal has been officially extended to May 31, 2025.

This extension has been granted in response to numerous requests and with the aim of accommodating authors who require additional time to complete their manuscripts. We trust that this adjustment will facilitate the submission of high-quality and well-prepared contributions to the conference.

Authors are kindly requested to submit their papers via the official submission portal by the aforementioned date. For further information regarding submission guidelines and conference updates, please visit our official website.

• Only papers presented at ICAMM'24 will be considered for this Special Issue.

• Papers must be submitted via the Elsevier Editorial Manager®.

• When submitting, please select the article type “VSI: ICAMM'24” to ensure your paper is directed to the guest editors. Accepted papers will be published online as they are finalized, prior to print publication.

CONFERENCE TOPICS:

We cordially invite researchers and experts to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations related to the conference topics. Submitted abstracts will undergo a rigorous review process by the scientific committee. 

The topics focus on the ceramics - glasses and innovative materials for:

1. Multifunctional Semiconductors and Devices: 

   • • Optical nanostructures.

     • Organic/inorganic electronics. 

     • Optical data storage.

     • Detectors, sensors and electronic devices, etc.

2. Sustainable Energy and Environment: 

   • • Novel and advanced ceramics for thermal energy storage.

     • Innovative materials for pollutant capture and remediation.

     • Ceramic membranes for water purification and desalination.

     • Sustainable and eco-friendly glass-based materials for construction and infrastructure development.

     • Approaches in materials design for energy and environment, 

     • Life cycle assessment of materials for sustainable energy and environment, etc.

3. Advanced Biomaterials/ Computational Biophysics and Materials

   • • Functionalized nanoparticles. 

     • Composite or hybrid nanostructures.

     • Tissue engineering. 

     • Bio-imaging and delivery systems.

     • Folding, aggregation of intrinsic disorder proteins and drugs design.

     • Materials informatics, machine learning, and data-driven approaches, etc.

Outstanding presentations will be invited for full-text submission, subject to further peer reviewing process, with the opportunity for publication in the Special Issue of Ceramics International Journal (Elsevier Publisher, Q1, IF: 5.2)

Requirements

300-word Abstract: Your abstract should be a brief summary of your work. If your abstract is accepted, it will be included in the Conference Program. Style guides are provided in a Word *.docx format. The submission MUST contain the following items in order to be published:

1. Complete title

2. Complete listing of all authors and their affiliations

3. Category Selection:  Please select the topic area that is appropriate for your work.

4. Presentation Preference: The presentation options are “poster only” and “oral only”. However, the committee has the final say on presentation types, though every effort is made to honor authors’ choices.

IMPORTANT! 

Please embed all fonts; use standard fonts when possible. Problems may occur if non-English font packages (for example, Japanese, Korean or Chinese fonts, etc.) are used. Failure to complete any of the preceding requirements may result in the rejection of a paper. NO CHANGES OR REVISIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE.

Notification emails are sent to the submitting author (as noted during the electronic submission). Notifications will be sent by the end of September 2024.

FULL MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION:

• Submission Open Date: Jan 06th, 2025

• Submission Deadline: April 15th, 2025

Selected papers will have the honor of publication in the Special Issue of Ceramics International journal, focusing on Ceramic Materials for Semiconductors and Devices, Sustainable Energy and Environment, and Advanced Biomaterials.

Full papers must be submitted through the Elsevier Editorial Manager®. When submitting your paper, be sure to specify that the paper is a contribution to this special issue by selecting the article type of "VSI: ICAMM'24", so that your paper can be assigned to the guest editors.

Accepted papers will be published online individually, before print publication. Additional information about the special issue can be obtained from the Guest Editors. We look forward to receiving your contribution.
